Zimbabwean Businessman Ridiculed for Bragging About “Being A New Ginimbi”
Zimbabweans on Facebook have taken to mocking a Harare-based businessman, Sam Tererai Chiodze, known as SamCash, for boasting about the birthday gifts he received. SamCash, the CEO of Tererati Investments and a car dealership owner, received a Toyota Hilux GD6 double cab, US$5,000 in cash, an iPhone, and an air ticket to Dubai for his exclusive 38th birthday party in Greendale. The celebration was attended by local celebrities like Shashl, Killer T, and DJ Fleva.
In an interview with H-Metro, SamCash claimed to be a full-time hustler and revealed that he admired the late Ginimbi, who he considered a role model. He also suggested that he was quickly reaching Ginimbi’s level, adding that the late socialite was his former business partner, and they worked together in South Africa. However, social media users were quick to ridicule SamCash’s comments, with some pointing out that Ginimbi was a millionaire who made his fortune through legitimate business activities.
SamCash defended his lavish party, claiming that he hosted such events to motivate young people to work hard and stay focused. However, this did not prevent Zimbabweans from pouring scorn on him for his ostentatious display of wealth.
