Nkayi Man Left with Swollen Testicles After Hammer Attack for Being Caught Having Tlof Tlof with Rival’s Girlfriend
A man from Nkayi sustained swollen testicles after his love rival allegedly struck him with a hammer upon catching him having tlof tlof with his girlfriend.
The accused, Mthabisi Dlamini, appeared before Bulawayo regional magistrate Dambudzo Malunga, facing an attempted murder charge. Dlamini pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody until March 6.
Love and Betrayal
In his defense, Dlamini claimed to be deeply in love with the woman involved and felt betrayed by her actions. He insisted that preparations for their marriage were well underway. However, the events that followed revealed a violent confrontation that would leave one man severely injured.

The Confrontation
According to court testimony, Dlamini visited his lover’s residence in Samasi village, Nkayi, on an undisclosed date in December last year. To his shock and anger, he discovered her engaged in tlof tlof with Kwenzakwayoinkosi Tshuma. Enraged, Dlamini banged on the door upon hearing his lover’s pleasurable moans.

The Violent Attack
Tshuma, sensing danger, fled the bedroom in his boxer shorts as Dlamini gave chase. In a fit of rage, Dlamini allegedly attacked Tshuma with a hammer, striking him on the testicles and inflicting further injuries with a knobkerrie to the head. The brutal assault left Tshuma unconscious on the ground.
Legal Consequences
The incident was reported to the police, leading to Dlamini’s subsequent arrest and appearance in court. While Dlamini pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder charge, the severity of the injuries sustained by Tshuma paints a grim picture of the events that unfolded that night.
