Chipfumo, appearing in court yesterday, vehemently denied the charges against him but was granted free bail due to his residential status.
According to H-Metro, the incident occurred on March 19 when Chipfumo, behind the wheel of his luxurious BMW X3, was traveling along Samora Machel Avenue in the inner lane. Seemingly careless, he suddenly decided to change lanes with the intention of parking on the left side. However, he failed to perform the essential safety check, carelessly maneuvering from the inner lane to the outer without ensuring the road was clear.
The consequences of Chipfumo’s negligence were dire as he collided with a Nissan Cube, driven by Shepherd Pazara. Thankfully, no injuries were sustained by either party involved. Nevertheless, Chipfumo’s lavish vehicle suffered significant damage to the left front door, left front bumper, and fender, while Pazara’s car bore the brunt of the collision with frontal damage.
