In a shocking turn of events, a courageous individual who tried to act as a peacemaker lost their life while trying to intervene in a violent altercation between a husband and his wife. According to the official statement released by the Zimbabwe Republic Police, the suspect, Lawrence Nyagadzi (23), viciously attacked Dubekhile Imbayago (43) after the victim bravely stepped in to stop the fight between the suspect and his wife. Eyewitnesses reported that the suspect assaulted Mr. Imbayago with his bare hands before delivering a fatal blow using a sand brick. Tragically, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
In a statement, the police said,
“Police in Harare have arrested Lawrence Nyagadzi (23) in connection with a case of murder which occurred at Nyimbiri Village, Mandely Farm, Epworth on 13/06/23.
“The suspect assaulted Dubekhile Imbayago (43) with hands before hitting him a sand brick on the chest after the victim had intervened to stop a fight between the suspect and his wife. The victim died on the spot.”
