Contradictory Statements from Club and Agent
The club’s statement is in contrast with the update provided by Billiat’s agent, Godfrey Bakasa. Bakasa stated that while Billiat desires to play for Kaizer Chiefs in the upcoming season, his decision depends on the terms of the offer presented to him. They are still engaged in discussions and trying to find a mutually beneficial solution.
“Khama is obviously grateful for his time at Kaizer Chiefs and greatly respects the club. He knows the club is on a rebuilding exercise and would love to be a part of that. He’s always wanted to make history with this iconic club. But that depends on whether we reach an agreement with them. We are still in talks with them and are trying to find a good solution for both parties,” stated Bakasa.
Bakasa also stated that Khama Billiat is yet to make a final decision regarding his future.
