Delta Beverages Depot Got Robbed USD 20,000!!

Delta Beverages in Chipinge was left reeling after six robbers raided the depot and stole more than $20,000. The suspects, armed with unidentified pistols, attacked security guards, a truck driver, and a cashier.

Police are now hunting for the suspects and have appealed to the public for any information that may assist in their investigations. National police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, confirmed the robbery. According to H-Metro Assistant Commissioner stated that, “The ZRP is investigating a case of robbery which occurred at Delta Beverages Depot, Chipinge, where six unknown suspects, armed with unidentified pistols, attacked security guards, a truck driver and a cashier before stealing US$20 965 and R18 750 cash,” he said.

Appeal for Information on Murder Case

In another case, police in Chitungwiza are appealing for information to help solve the murder of Wilson Muchimwe (53). He was found dead at a house in Rockview West, Zengeza 5, after being attacked by unknown people.

Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, urged anyone with information to report to the nearest police station. He stated that, “The victim was found with a cut on the right eye, and anyone with information to report at any nearest police station.”

Fatal Hit-and-Run Accidents

The police are also investigating two fatal hit-and-run road traffic accidents. The first occurred along Seke Road, near St Mary’s bus stop, where a 24-year-old man was killed after being hit by an unknown motorist. Assistant Nyathi said, “A man (24) was killed after being hit by an unknown motorist, who did not stop after the accident,”

The second incident happened on Monday along New Chitungwiza Road, near a haulage company in Waterfalls.

“Another fatal hit-and-run road traffic accident, which occurred on Monday along New Chitungwiza Road, near a haulage company in Waterfalls, is also being investigated. A yet to be identified man died on the spot after being hit by an unknown motorist”, said  Commissioner Nyathi.
