Magunje Herd Boy Convicted for Repeatedly Molesting Boss’s 12-Year-Old Daughter

A herd boy from Magunje has been convicted for molesting his former boss’s 12-year-old daughter repeatedly.

The first Assault

According to reports, the 20-year-old predator began assaulting the young girl in early March 2024. The boy first attacked her as she returned home from school. He hid in nearby bushes, and as the girl approached, he jumped out and threatened her to follow him. He then removed both her clothes and his before molesting her. After the assault, he issued a chilling threat, warning her not to tell anyone. He threatened to stab her if she spoke out.

Continued Abuse

Later that month, the girl and her mother worked in a tobacco barn. The herd boy learned the times the girl would be released. He used the same tactic to wait for her in the bushes and assaulted her again.

In May, the predator encountered the girl on her way home. He called her over and fondled her breasts before letting her go. This time, the girl found the courage to confide in her mother.

The Truth Comes Out

Once aware of the situation, the mother confronted the boy. She warned him to cease his behavior or she would report him to the police. However, the assaults only came to light when the girl fell sick.

After consulting a doctor, a pregnancy test confirmed that she was pregnant. The mother, upon interrogating her daughter, learned the full truth of the horrific events.

Legal Consequences and Sentencing

A police report followed, leading to the boy’s arrest. He appeared before the Karoi Magistrates Court, facing serious charges of rape. The court found him guilty and sentenced him to 15 years in prison.
