Highlanders Face Injury Setbacks

Highlander captain Ariel Sibanda stressed the importance of bouncing back after their consecutive defeats against Chicken Inn and FC Platinum.

“It has not been an easy season. If you see yourselves going for eight games without conceding goals, obviously you are bound to do so in one of the games. We need to pick ourselves up. We are looking forward to having great support from our fans,“ stated Sibanda.

Unfortunately, Highlanders have been plagued by injuries, with Darlington Mukuli joining the growing list of sidelined players after getting injured in the same match against Chicken Inn. He will be out for the rest of the season.

In addition to the Dynamos vs. Highlanders match, other exciting fixtures are set to take place in Week 22 of the Premier Soccer League. Defending champions FC Platinum will face CAPS United, while third-placed Ngezi Platinum Stars will take on Manica Diamonds. Greenfuel will host Sheasham at their Chisumbanje base, and ZPC Kariba will clash with Herentals at Nyamhunga Stadium.

Army side Black Rhinos will rely on home advantage as they go up against Triangle United at Gweru’s Bata Stadium. Hwange will battle Simba Bhora, and Yadah Stars will face Cranborne Bullets on their home turf, reported bmetro.
