Mjolo nightmare: Security guard stoned for dating married woman in Crowhill

Night Zhanelo, a security guard in Crowhill, was stoned by an unidentified man for allegedly caressing a married woman along Crowhill Road. Zhanelo sustained serious head injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Parirenyatwa Hospital.

“I was stoned for the wrong reasons”

Zhanelo denied dating the woman, stating that he was simply consoling her.

“I was walking along the road when I saw the woman looking very sad. I approached her to enquire what was troubling her since we were walking in the same direction. She told me that she was facing problems with her husband. I only consoled her and told her to seek counselling or find a way to solve her marital problems,” he said.

Rumors of sexual abuse

According to one resident, Zhanelo has a history of sexually abusing married women by promising them jobs. “Zhanelo has been bedding several women promising them employment since he works as a guard at one prominent person’s plot,” the resident claimed.

“He is lucky to be alive”

The woman’s husband was tipped off about the incident and allegedly caught the two of them caressing each other. The resident stated that Zhanelo was lucky to be alive and that the woman’s husband might have taken more drastic measures if he had caught them in the act.

Another Incident, Harare businessman arrested for assaulting girlfriend

Moses Tapiwa Maswela has been arrested and charged with assaulting his girlfriend, Marygold Chengetai Fundira, on multiple occasions. Maswela allegedly chased Fundira and assaulted her with a whip, resulting in serious injuries.

Incidents of assault

The first incident occurred when Fundira returned home to find the gate locked. Maswela refused to open it, and Fundira ended up sleeping at a friend’s house. The following day, Maswela allegedly chased Fundira and assaulted her with a whip. In March, Maswela allegedly pushed Fundira to the ground and insulted her for speaking to a male parent at their child’s school.

Fundira has since moved out of Maswela’s house with her children. According to H-Metro, Maswela appeared in court on Saturday and was remanded in custody to today for a bail hearing.
