Man Jailed For Axing Friend Over Cattle

In a shocking incident in the rustic region of Insuza, Matabeleland North province, a 29-year-old man has been apprehended for an act of brutality against his friend. Dumisile Zondo is accused of attacking his acquaintance, Lucky Msebele (28), with an axe twice above his left eye after an argument broke out over Zondo’s cattle which had wandered into Msebele’s maize field.

Appearing before Bulawayo regional magistrate Collet Ncube, Zondo faced charges of attempted murder. He did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody until March 8. Reports allege that on February 17, Zondo and Msebele had just left a shop when they noticed the cattle in the maize field. Msebele became agitated and told Zondo to look after his cattle to prevent them from destroying his crops.

This simple request turned into a heated argument, and things quickly took a violent turn. Zondo reportedly struck Msebele twice with an axe above his left eye, resulting in deep cuts. Msebele was rushed to the hospital for treatment, and Zondo was promptly arrested following the report of the incident.

The accused has been charged with attempted murder and is currently in custody. The victim, Msebele, is receiving medical attention for his injuries. The case has sent shockwaves through the small community, with residents expressing their shock and dismay at the horrific act.

In related news, Desire Moyo, a 28-year-old man, appeared before Bulawayo’s regional magistrate, Dambudzo Malunga, accused of assaulting and sexually assaulting his 22-year-old co-tenant, Tendai Govere, in a savage and barbaric manner.

According to reports, Patience Ncube, the wife of Desire Moyo, had been persistently calling Tendai Govere, and inviting him over to her room. After some initial reluctance, Tendai eventually agreed to visit her in the evening when Desire was not at home. However, their encounter took a turn for the worse when Desire unexpectedly returned and found the two of them together in his bedroom.

Desire immediately launched a savage attack on Tendai with his fists and a leather belt, causing him to bleed profusely. Adding to the horror of the situation, Desire handcuffed Tendai and continued to beat him mercilessly. Moreover, he inserted a sex toy into Tendai’s rectum and kept it there for two hours while recording a video of the entire brutality.
