Genuine Kindness Or Clout? Tinashe Maphosa Extends Begging Bowl On Behalf Of Debt-ridden Mai Titi
Drama around comedienne Felistas “Mai Titi’ Murata continues to unfold, with the latest involving her estranged husband, Tinashe Maphosa, begging for handouts to help save the debt-ridden socialite.
Mai TT is facing legal issues in two separate cases involving allegations of fraudulent activity. In the first case, she approached Rachel Mhuka for a loan of US$10,000 and used her Mercedes Benz as collateral. However, Mai TT later confessed that the car was not hers and instead offered an Audi. After further negotiations, Mai TT returned the Audi to Mhuka, who later discovered that the car belonged to a car rental company called Else Events Car Hire. The State alleges that Mai TT intended to defraud Mhuka and is yet to return the loan.

She had allegedly agreed to pay a weekly fee of US$770 to rent an Audi Q5 from Else Events Car Hire but failed to make the payments. When the car rental company demanded that she return the vehicle, Mai TT did not comply, and the car was eventually recovered from Mhuka, who had received it as collateral from Mai TT.
Mai TT has been released from custody, having adhered to court summons.
