Apostolic Church Member from Beitbridge Arrested for Molesting a 4-Year-old Girl
A 29-year-old man from the Apostolic Church has been arrested for allegedly molesting a 4-year-old girl during a church service in Beitbridge. The accused appeared before the Beitbridge Magistrate’s Court, facing rape charges.
Horrific Allegations
The court heard that on June 16th, the 4-year-old girl attended a church service at the Jerusalem Apostolic Church, accompanied by her grandmother. The accused man was also present at the church. It is alleged that around 12 noon, the man went outside to use the toilet. He then reportedly saw the young girl playing outside and grabbed her, taking her to the toilet where he molested her.

Disturbing Details of the Alleged Assault
She started crying, and then he choked her so that no one could hear her. After finishing the act, he took her back, and she went straight to her grandmother crying to narrate what had happened. While narrating the incident, the grandmother noticed that the girl was bleeding from the mouth and her private parts. The grandmother then informed her fellow church members, who helped her apprehend the man, leading to his arrest.

Severe Punishment for the Accused
The man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for molesting the young girl. “The grandmother alerted other church members, who apprehended the accused person and handed him over to the police, leading to his arrest. The accused person was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment,” read the NPAZ press statement.

Bulawayo Trio Arrested for Rail Line Damage
In other news, a Bulawayo trio appeared before the Kadoma Magistrate Courts for damaging the railway line. Maxwell Tinaye Mutyiri, Fungai Mugowa, and Marvelous Dube are said to have cut the railway line signal on the 6th of April around 3 a.m. in the morning. The trio were arrested later that day.
