Sir Wicknell Chivayo has issued an apology to Jah Prayzah, accompanied by US$150,000 in cash as a gesture of remorse for the backlash he endured following the heartfelt letter he wrote to him.

JP’s Heartfelt Tribute to Sir

Last month, Jah Prayzah penned a lengthy letter praising Chivayo. He acknowledged Chivayo’s significant contributions to the arts industry, particularly his generous gifts of luxury vehicles.

Jah Prayzah called Chivayo a true blessing, saying, “Makasikwa muine ruoko rwakatambanuka, ruoko rwunoraramisa nherera shirikadzi nevanotambura.” He added, “Kumberi kwenyu hakuna mutorwa kunevana vaMwari, naizvozvo murichikomborero chenyika ino nekuti hatisakamboona rudo rwakakura kudaro.”

Backlash from Fans

However, this praise did not sit well with some fans. Many criticized Prayzah, feeling he was overly flattering Chivayo. Chivayo noticed the insults directed at Prayzah. He felt compelled to act in support of the musician.

Chivayo’s Calculated Apology

In response to the 15,000 negative comments, Chivayo decided to apologize publicly.

“Hanzi 15000 comments muchitukwa mwana wevanhu kuti why waremekedza Sir,” stated Chivayo. “So i’ll do the maths 15000 comments X 10 U.S dollars sorry per comment to my brother. Saka zvareva kuti 150 thousand USD in hard cash.”

Chivayo did not stop there. In addition to the cash, he gifted Jah Prayzah a luxurious Range Rover Sport worth US$120,000.
