Farai, the brother of the twins, who witnessed the horrifying incident and provided a chilling account. “My sisters were shot dead last week when we were having a family meeting consisting of six people — myself, my two late sisters, my brother-in-law (late), my wife, and my younger brother, Freddy. We started the meeting with a prayer. Everyone narrated their views, and one of the twin sisters, who was married to Mahlaba, expressed her desire to separate due to ongoing abuse. That is when all hell broke loose.”

Farai continued, recounting the harrowing details of the shootings. “My brother-in-law got angry and took out a gun and shot his wife in our presence. Freddy ran for his life. He then went on to shoot Attalia. He shot his wife once more when she showed signs of life and pointed the gun at my wife. Luckily, the gun malfunctioned, and she was saved by a neighbor who hid her in her house. My brother-in-law then returned to the house but failed to shoot me due to another malfunction. Eventually, he went to the balcony, and a gunshot was heard. He had taken his own life.”
