South African self-proclaimed pastor Paseka “Mboro” Motsoeneng is making headlines for protesting against the courts and his enemies by imitating Jesus Christ while carrying a cross.

While awaiting trial, Pastor Mboro took to the streets, imitating Jesus Christ by carrying a cross to protest against the court, which prohibited him from praying during a session. This dramatic act occurred as he faces serious charges, including kidnapping, possession of dangerous weapons, and assault.

Courtroom Tensions Rise

Pastor Mboro, along with his son and bodyguard, had some charges dropped when the case moved to Schedule 1. During the last court session, Mboro attempted to pray while the hearing was in progress.

Magistrate Mammburu quickly intervened, stating, “What is happening with accused number 1? It seems like you are not listening. Please, my good sir, you cannot pray when the court is in session.”

A Response to Court Reprimand

Unhappy with the magistrate’s ruling, Pastor Mboro decided to protest in the streets. In a video that circulated widely on x, he was seen carrying the cross while concerned citizens approached him. When asked if everything was okay, Mboro replied, “No one can stop me from testifying the glory of my messiah, Jesus Christ,” referencing the court incident.

He further lamented about the destruction of his cars and his son’s alleged beating.

“Breaking my cars, assaulting my son, smashing his face, there was no justice for more than 100 days, but unkulunkulu showed up,” he stated. “Today is just the beginning, so I will be live on Facebook and on TikTok.”
