South Africa Housemaid Scammed of 6K Rands by Deceitful “Wise Wave” Agents
In a heart-wrenching audio, a part-time housemaid in South Africa has shared her tale of how she was scammed out of 6K rands by “Wise Wave” company agents.
Housemaid Conned in Overseas Work Scheme
The unnamed woman, who was initially informed about the opportunity by a friend also working as a maid. She was enticed by the prospect of securing overseas employment.
“My friend had already joined the group of part-time workers who wanted to go and work abroad,” she recounts.
The agents presented two permit options, a 9-month “seasonal permit” for 10,000 rands or a 3-month “Type A” permit for 3,000 rands. Opting for the seasonal permit, the woman paid the required 6,000 rands upfront.

“After 3 days, I called K and told her I was ready to make the payment. K then told me that I needed to wait a bit longer as the Polish had stopped taking immigrants,” the woman recounts.
