Sir Wicknell Chivayo Gifts Zanu PF Murakashi Cde Mukungunugwa US$20,000 to Revamp His Wardrobe

Sir Wicknell Chivayo has stepped in to support Zanu PF propagandist Cde Mukungunugwa by gifting him US$20,000 after he faced ridicule online for the attire he wore when collecting his new Mercedes Benz.

Earlier, Chivayo had already rewarded Mukungunugwa with a luxurious 2020 Mercedes Benz C200. He also gifted him high-tech gadgets including an iPhone 16 Pro Max, a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and the latest iPad Air. These rewards recognized Mukungunugwa’s efforts in keeping the public informed about Zanu PF events through his online posts.

Online Ridicule

However, the day took an unexpected turn when Mukungunugwa arrived to collect his gifts. Dressed in a white golf t-shirt and jeans, he became the target of ridicule from netizens. Many took to social media to mock his “cheap” clothing. Some snidely noted that his attire did not match his new luxury vehicle.

Chivayo Responds to Criticism

Chivayo, disturbed by the harsh criticism, decided to take action. He issued a heartfelt statement addressing the online mockery.

“I have learnt with profound concern the spurious online comments, insults, and malicious criticism against Cde. Mukungunugwa for his personal choice of clothes,” he expressed.

He added, “I get deeply disturbed when spiteful people make deliberate and personal attacks against an innocent, hardworking young man.”

Out of compassion, Chivayo instructed Mukungunugwa to visit his lawyer, Sikhumbuzo Mpofu, to collect US$20,000.

“I’m confident this will be enough to buy new t-shirts that don’t look like overalls,” he said.

In a further show of generosity, Chivayo offered to personally shop for Mukungunugwa.

“I will make sure when I travel, I will also personally shop for him,” he stated.
