Rapper Kikky Badass Sued Over Instagram Post

Zimbabwean rapper Christabell ‘Kikky Badass’ Stembeni Mahlungwa has been hit with a lawsuit following a controversial post she made on Instagram.

In the Instagram post, the fiery rapper and video vixen alleged that lawyer Rodney Saratoga Makausi had solicited for se_xual favours from her. The post, which was made on March 2nd, claims that Kikky Badass rebuffed Makausi’s advances after Makausi had solicited for sex from her.

Letter of Demand

Lifestyle tabloid H-Metro reports that through his lawyers, Saratoga Makausi Law Chambers, Makausi is seeking an apology, retraction, and removal of the post from Kikky within four days of receiving the letter. The lawyers’ letter claims that Kikky’s Instagram post was widely circulated on WhatsApp.

In a letter of demand, the law firm stated:

“We are writing this letter at the instance of our managing partner Mr. Rodney Makausi who is our client in this matter. Our client has shown us a post which you uploaded on your Instagram page where you are known by the name ‘Kikky Badass’”.

Details of the Accusations

Kikky’s post alludes to text messages allegedly sent by Makausi via WhatsApp using a South African phone number, which Kikky also claims carried Makausi’s picture. Kikky’s post suggests that Makausi had sent her text messages soliciting sexual favors.

“The Instagram post also indicated that you had rebuffed the alleged sexual advances allegedly from Mr. Rodney Saratoga Makausi,” the letter from Saratoga Makausi Law Chambers added.

Lawyers’ Response

Saratoga Makausi Law Chambers further claims that the allegations made by Kikky are false and defamatory, and the post has caused harm to Makausi’s reputation and career. The law firm has threatened to take legal action against Kikky if she fails to retract the allegations and issue an apology.

“We are instructed to demand, as we hereby do, that you immediately and unconditionally remove the offending post from your Instagram page and from any other platform on which it has been posted,” the letter reads.

Kikky Badass is yet to comment officially on the lawsuit.
