Plumtree Husband Arrested for Murdering Wife Over Porridge Charm Dispute

A Plumtree husband has been arrested for brutally murdering his wife over a dispute involving sprinkling charm in their porridge.

Husband Confronts Wife Over Porridge Charm

According to reports, Honest Nkomo (34) returned home on July 17th to find his wife cooking porridge. He then went into his bedroom and changed his clothes. Upon returning to the kitchen, he found his wife sprinkling charm into the pot. He then asked his wife what kind of charm she was pouring and why she was sprinkling it.

Deadly Confrontation Over Poisoned Porridge

The wife failed to explain herself, which angered the husband. He then ordered the wife to taste the porridge, as he suspected it might have been poisoned. The wife refused to eat the porridge, and that further angered the husband. He then went back into his bedroom and took a pick and a hammer.

Brutal Murder and Hasty Escape

He first struck the wife with a pick on the head before striking her again with a hammer. The wife died instantly from the hammer striking her head. Upon realizing his wife had died, he removed the hammer, placed it on the ground, and then fled his home.

Children Discover Murdered Mother, Husband Arrested

The children, upon returning from school, found their mother lying on the ground and bleeding. They went to the police and filed a report. An investigation was made that led to the husband’s arrest. He is currently remanded in custody until August 1, 2024.
