Mbizo Jealous Ex-Husband Convicted of Murdering Ex-Wife Over Her New Relationship

A jealous ex-husband from Mbizo has been convicted of murdering his ex-wife, driven by jealousy over her moving on with her life.

A Dark Turn of Events

The 23-year-old man felt intense jealousy when he learned that his ex-wife had moved on and married another man. His emotions took a dark turn when he followed her to her workplace that day. He confronted her and demanded all the property he had bought for her during their marriage.

The Fatal Escalation

After some discussion, they agreed to go to her new home to gather the belongings. As they arrived and began packing, the situation escalated. The man stepped outside and returned with a kitchen knife. He then stabbed his ex-wife in the chest, leading to her tragic death.

Panic and Arrest

Later that day, the husband returned home, only to discover his wife lying on the ground, bleeding. In a panic, he contacted the police to report the incident. However, investigators quickly identified the ex-husband as the last person seen with the victim. This crucial evidence led to his arrest.

Court Proceedings and Sentencing

The accused appeared before the Gokwe High Court, facing serious murder charges. After reviewing the evidence, the court found him guilty of the crime. He received a sentence of 20 years in prison for his actions.

Official Statement Released

“A man from Mbizo, Kwekwe was arraigned before the high court sitting at Gokwe on murder charges. The accused person was convicted and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment,” read the NPaz press statement.
