Marondera Man Murders Wife and Child in Bloody Church Dispute
A Marondera man has been arrested after brutally murdering his wife and child, and then attempting to kill himself.
The Church Dispute
According to the chilling suicide note left behind, the horrific incident was sparked by a long-standing dispute over which church the family should attend. The couple had been fighting for some time over which church the family needed to go to. The man wanted his wife to abandon her church and follow him to his church.

A Rift That Widened
At first, it seemed the wife had agreed to the change, but influences from her work and family she came from did not go well with them. Under pressure, she ultimately decided to return to her original church, much to her husband’s fury.

Unresolved Tensions Spiral Out of Control
After the wife went back to her old church, the husband reached out to his mother-in-law, Mitchel’s granny and her brothers to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, they all seemed not interested to even listen or attempt to solve the dispute. This move by Mitchel’s family seems to be the cause of anger for the man and that led him to kill his wife and son.
