During a heartfelt interview, Eunice revealed her struggles since her husband’s death. The music industry, which thrived on his talent, has failed to support her family.
“What is hurting me at night is that I now feel neglected by Zimbabweans and the whole world,” Eunice stated.
Eunice Describes Her Deteriorating Health
The widow went on to elaborate how her health is deteriorating as she struggles to pay the bills.
“It’s worse now because I am on a wheelchair,” she lamented. She feels isolated and has difficulty managing her daily expenses. “I am even struggling to go for simple things like medical check-ups,” she added.

Frustration Over Limited Mobility
The widow expressed her frustration over her limited mobility.
“I am now idle, just stranded on my wheelchair,” stated the widow. “This is my only form of transport to move around, and it’s mainly from the bedroom to the toilet. I cannot push myself to the hospital weekly.”
Sir Wicknell’s Controversial Response
In response to Eunice’s heartfelt plea, Sir Wicknell Chivayo took to social media. However, his reaction sparked further outrage. Chivayo sarcastically advised her to beg him for a Fortuner, as he has been doing for other widows of late music legends like Daisy Mtukudzi.
“Zvinongonzi Sir Wicky munogara muchiposta muchi ridza murume wangu ndokumbirawo ndioneiwo ne ka Fortuner please,” stated Chivayo.
