Grandfather Sentenced to 18 Years for Molesting Mentally-Challenged 14-year-old Granddaughter

The mentally-challenged 14-year-old granddaughter, who was molested by her 52-year-old grandfather, finally received justice as the grandfather was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

The Assault on Mentally-Challenged Granddaughter

It is alleged that the grandfather, who resides in Buhera, traveled to visit his daughter, only to find his granddaughter alone in the kitchen. Without hesitation, he entered the hut and ordered her to lie down on the floor facing upwards. He then proceeded to molest her and threatened to end her life if she disclosed the incident to anyone.

Brave Granddaughter Reports the Crime

Despite the threats, the granddaughter reported the crime to her mother upon her return from Harare. The mother, rightfully alarmed by her daughter’s revelation, took immediate action.

Another Disturbing Incident

An 18-year-old boy from Binga has been arrested for allegedly sodomizing a 13-year-old boy after forcing him to watch pornography.

Forceful Assault

According to allegations, on 25 February 2024, the 13-year-old boy was herding cattle with his cousin in the Kokoloza grazing area, Binga. The cousin left him alone to gather wild fruits, leaving him vulnerable. Then accused seized the opportunity, accusing the 13-year-old boy of allowing his cattle to graze in his field. He forcefully marched the young boy to a nearby river, where he held him by the neck and forced him to lie face-down on the ground.

Forced to Witness Pornography

The accused then subjected the young boy to the distressing experience of watching pornography on his phone. Despite his resistance, the accused repeatedly struck him on the head. He then removed the young boy’s trousers and allegedly engaged in non-consensual anal sex with him.

Desperate Escape and Reporting the Crime

During the assault, the young boy screamed in distress, prompting the accused to strike him on the head once again. After the act, the accused led the complainant to a field, claiming it was where the complainant’s cattle had been grazing. Eventually, the boy managed to escape and reported the terrifying ordeal to his parents, who promptly contacted the police.
