President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s biographer Eddie Cross has sensationally claimed that former First Lady Grace Mugabe has a massive fortune of US $5.3 billion stashed away in secret accounts in Europe.

Cross, who is also a prominent economist and former member of the opposition MDC party, made the stunning claims when he appeared on the local podcast Friday Drinks on the ZFN Capital Youtube account.
During the interview, Cross stated that he learned of Grace Mugabe’s US$5.3 billion secret fortune from the Americans.
“The Americans know where all the money is. I have seen an American which says how much money Grace Mugabe has got and where it is.”
When prompted to reveal the figure, Eddie Cross said,
“US$5.3 Billion, and it is in Europe, and the Americans know precisely where it is.”

Cross further claimed that the money was acquired through the illegal trade of diamonds and fuel. However, no evidence has been provided to support these allegations. When further prompted to reveal evidence, Eddie Cross insisted that he had seen the report with his own eyes.
