Former Dynamos Coach Calisto Pasuwa Takes the Helm as Permanent Coach of Malawi National Team
Former Dynamos coach Calisto Pasuwa has officially been appointed as the permanent coach of the Malawi national team.
A New Era Begins
This decision comes after his successful stint as interim coach, which followed the sacking of Patrick Mabedi. Pasuwa has been handed a two-year contract and will lead the team through the remaining 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. Additionally, he will prepare the squad for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers.

Pasuwa A Proven Winner
Before joining the Malawi national team, Pasuwa enjoyed significant success with Dynamos FC. He won four consecutive league titles during his time there. In total, he secured 12 trophies for Dynamos, establishing himself as a top coach.

After his success at Dynamos, he moved to Malawi to coach Nyasa Big Bullets. Over six years, Pasuwa transformed the team into a powerhouse. He led them to six TNM Super League titles and five Charity Shields. His impressive record also includes three Airtel Top 8 Cups, two FDH Bank Cups, and one Castel Challenge Cup.
