Epworth Man Rapes Wife’s Friend While Seeking Refuge in His House
A woman seeking refuge in Epworth from a domestic dispute was allegedly sexually violated by her friend’s husband. Tendekai Chitambu is accused of raping the woman while his wife was away.
Brutal Assault
The incident occurred on May 18 at around 7pm when Chitambu asked for sex while they were having supper. The woman turned him down, but later that night, Chitambu went to the spare bedroom where the woman was sleeping and demanded to have sexual intercourse with her. He argued that he was providing food and accommodation for her and her son.
When the woman refused and threatened to tell Chitambu’s wife, he hit her on the head several times until she became weak. Chitambu then had unprotected sexual intercourse with the woman once without her consent before leaving for his bedroom.
