Dancehall Music Sparks Violent Assault: Bulawayo Man Left with Damaged Eye!
A Bulawayo man from Mzilikazi was left with damaged his eye after an allegedly assaulted over dancehall music argument. Taruvinga Zvinokona (48) had requested the DJ to play dancehall music, which did not go down well with Forman Ndlovu (33). The incident occurred at a night spot in Umguza, reported bmetro.
Verbal war turns physical
Ndlovu accused Zvinokona of undermining them since they were the first to give the DJ their playlist. The argument escalated into a fist-fight, and Ndlovu allegedly picked up a log and struck Zvinokona all over the body, leaving him bleeding from the head and right eye.

Victim rushed to hospital
Zvinokona collapsed and was rushed to Mpilo Central Hospital, where doctors discovered that his eye had been damaged. The incident was reported to the police, leading to the arrest of Ndlovu. He appeared before Bulawayo regional magistrate Dambuzo Malunga facing an attempted murder charge.
Assailant pleads not guilty
Ndlovu pleaded not guilty to the charge and was remanded in custody to 25 July. The incident highlights the dangers of alcohol-fueled confrontations and the need for patrons to control their emotions and act responsibly.
