A Kwekwe man alleged crystal meth drug addict has been arrested for molesting a 10-year-old girl whom he claimed was his wife.

Disturbing Incident Unfolds

According to reports, the 23-year-old man saw the girl walking alone some time September. He followed her until he caught up with her. Upon reaching her, he proposed love to the young girl, but she rejected him.

A Violent Encounter

Unable to accept the rejection, he forcibly dragged her into an unfinished building. Once inside, he removed her clothing and ordered her to lie down. He threatened to kill her if she screamed, instilling fear in the young girl.

The man began molesting her until he heard someone calling her name. Startled, he stopped the assault. He then ordered her to dress and threatened her again, warning her not to tell anyone about what happened before letting her go.

A Disturbing Revelation

On September 14, the man allegedly cut off his own manhood with a knife while screaming the girl’s name. Witnesses reported that he shouted loudly, declaring that the girl was his wife and that he missed her.

Those who heard him screaming alerted the girl’s grandmother. Concerned, she confided in her granddaughter about the situation. The young girl then revealed the horrific details of the assault, prompting them to file a police report.

Police Action and Ongoing Investigation

The police conducted an investigation that led to the man’s arrest. He remains in custody while receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Gweru. He is scheduled to appear before the court on October 8, 2024.
