Chipinge Drunkard Arrested for Molesting a Mentally Challenged Woman in Her Bedroom

A drunkard from Chipinge has been arrested for molesting a mentally challenged woman in her bedroom during the night.

The Man’s Disturbing Routine

The 27-year-old man frequently passed the woman’s house on his way home from the shops. According to reports, the drankard carefully noted the time the woman went to bed. On October 26, 2024, he went to the shops, drank heavily, and became intoxicated.

The Assault Unfolds

As he passed by the woman’s house that night, he made a disturbing decision. He entered her bedroom without permission. Once inside, he removed her clothes and molested her for the first time without protection. After this initial act, he realized he needed protection. He then put on a condom and assaulted her again.

The Unexpected Turn

After the second molestation, the man fell asleep in the bedroom. Meanwhile, the mentally challenged woman managed to wake her nephew. Alarmed, she informed him of the horrifying ordeal.

When her nephew entered the room, he found the drunkard asleep, naked, and with a used condom nearby. Shocked by the scene, he quickly called for neighbors to assist. Together, they woke the man and apprehended him.

Justice Served

The group then took the man to the police, where he faced serious charges. He appeared in Chipinge Magistrate’s Court, where he was found guilty of rape. The court sentenced him to 16 years behind bars, ensuring justice for the mentally challenged victim.
