Chikwaka Predator Convicted for Molesting 10-Year-Old Grade 6 Neighbor

A predator from Chikwaka has been arrested and convicted for molesting a 10-year-old grade 6 neighbor in his home.

Predator Attempts Advances, Rejected and Responds with Force

According to reports, on the 7th of April 2024, the man called the girl to his house. He allegedly proposed love to her, but the girl rejected his advances. She stated she was too young to date a family man. Frustrated, he forcibly hugged her before sending her away.

 Deceptive Lure

Three days later, the man lured the girl back to his home. He claimed her brother had made a mess in his house and needed help. Upon entering, he grabbed the girl and dragged her into his bedroom before molesting her.

Girl Threatened into Silence

After the incident, the man threatened the girl, warning her not to tell anyone. Out of fear, she complied and remained silent. The situation came to light two days later when the girl’s mother returned home and discovered her daughter was missing.

Mother’s Search Leads to Discovery

Concerned, the mother began searching for her daughter. She eventually found the girl alone in the neighbor’s house with the man. Upon questioning why she was there, the girl began to cry. The mother comforted her and encouraged her to share what had happened.

Girl Tells Mother About Assault

With a heavy heart, the girl revealed the truth about the molestation. The mother immediately took her daughter to the police, where they filed a report. This led to the man’s swift arrest.

Court Proceedings

The man appeared before Mrewa Magistrates Court to face rape charges. He was found guilty and sentenced to 15 years in prison.
