“Bvuma Bvuma WaChembera”: Mai Chisamba Takes Swipe at Stunner

Zimbabwean TV personality Mai Chisamba has taken a swipe at Stunner, advising youth against Dziva’s “vafana vechidiki” (“young boys”) mantra.

During a recent interaction, Stunner asked Chisamba to provide a “word of the day,” to which she responded with an insightful piece of advice for the youth.

“What youthhood means is a way of life. How one conducts oneself. But what’s worrying us nowadays as elders is seeing lazy youth who do not want to grow up and live a life of dependence on others. Youthhood is a phase that will pass. One has to grow up and stand on one’s own two feet,” Chisamba stated.

Stunner’s “Boyish” Persona Criticized

Mai Chisamba’s words have been interpreted by netizens as a direct reflection of Stunner’s lifestyle and persona. The rapper, known for his flamboyant “vafana vechidiki vane twunhu twavo” persona, drew criticism from fellow socialite Shadaya during the Denny J podcast, when he was asked about the former. Shadaya criticized Stunner’s persona by citing a lack of maturity in how he conducts himself.

“We have a 40-something-year-old guy, he parades himself on social media calling himself ‘vafana vechidiki vane twunhu twavo’,” Shadaya said. “How many 40-year-olds have you met who call themselves ‘little boys’, how many?”
