Alick Macheso’s Leading Dancer, MaJuice, Suspended for Ignoring Management’s Advice

MaJuice, a leading dancer at Alick Macheso’s Orchestra Mberikwazvo, has been suspended for repeatedly appearing late on stage, despite warnings from management.

Macheso’s Management’s Strong Response

According to an inside source, Majuice’s tardiness finally led to him being sent home until further notice. The management team had grown increasingly frustrated by his behavior, with him sometimes even appearing on stage after the renowned band leader, Macheso himself.

“He thought he was untouchable until the management told him there was only one leader, and it was only Mopao Mokonzi (Macheso).”

Majuice Missing in Action

Majuice’s absence was glaringly evident during Macheso’s recent shows in Chivhu, Marondera, and Harare over the weekend. The audience noticed his absence, and it became a talking point among fans.

Macheso Confirms Suspension

During a performance at Steak House on Sunday, Macheso himself confirmed Majuice’s suspension, addressing fans’ inquiries. He made it clear that he was not directly involved in the decision-making process and deferred to the management for further details.

“I am not sure about what transpired, management is better placed to answer your questions. But what I just know is that basa rakapera for now, and I cannot interfere with such decisions,” Macheso stated.

No One Is Bigger Than the Band

Macheso went further to encourage unity and integrity of the band, stating that no individual performer was more important than the collective.

“Kutamba hakuriri, waya ndidzo dzinorira, Nowero mutsa tifambe nayo,” stated Ba Shero.
