The SICS program allows students from eligible countries and territories to participate in short-term study or research exchanges at Canadian post-secondary institutions. Its goal is to foster lasting international relationships, strengthen people-to-people connections, and reinforce bilateral ties between Canada and the participating nations.

Available Scholarship Amounts and Duration:
- College/Undergraduate Scholarships (4 months):
- Value: $10,200
- Duration: Four months or one academic term
- Graduate Scholarships (4 months):
- Value: $10,200
- Duration: Four months or one academic term
- Graduate Scholarships (5-6 months):
- Value: $12,700
- Duration: Five to six months

Applicants must be citizens of one of the following eligible countries/territories:
- Asia: Bangladesh, Nepal, Taiwan
- Europe: Türkiye, Ukraine
- Middle East & North Africa: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia
- Sub-Saharan Africa: Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a citizen of an eligible country/territory.
- Enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in an eligible country.
- Must be paying tuition fees to the home institution.
- Cannot hold or apply for Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
- Not currently enrolled in a degree program at a Canadian institution.

- Completed application form
- Copy of passport pages
- Academic degree(s) and transcripts
- Proof of enrollment and tuition payment
- Recommendation letters
- Motivation letter
Application Deadline:
The application deadline for Canadian institutions to submit applications is March 18, 2025. Be sure to confirm the internal deadlines set by your institution to ensure timely submission of documents.
How to Apply:
- Contact your home institution’s international office for application details.
- Ensure your home institution has a valid student exchange agreement with a Canadian institution.
- Canadian institutions apply on behalf of eligible candidates.
- Create an account on the My EduCanada portal for Canadian institutions.
- Fill out the online application form with the required information.
- Upload all necessary documents in the specified format.
- Submit the application before the deadline (March 18, 2025).
- Wait for the Canadian institution to notify you of the results.
