A Gweru serial robber has been arrested for molesting his Form 4 girlfriend and robbing a thigh vendor

Violent Robbery and Assault in Clifton Park

According to the reports, on March 5th, Ncube and his two unidentified accomplices accosted a 28-year-old woman walking home from Clifton Park Shops. The gang threatened the woman with an Okapi knife and forcefully took her Huawei phone, valued at around US$60. They then dragged the woman into a nearby bush, where Ncube proceeded to molest her in front of his cohorts. The woman managed to escape and hid in a pit until the next morning. She then reported the incident to the police the following day.

Molesting Girlfriend and Thigh Vendor

Ncube’s criminal spree did not end there. On August 6th, 2023, he picked up his Form 4 girlfriend from school and dragged her into the bush, where he molested her at knifepoint.

In an unspecified incident, Ncube lured a thigh vendor, pretending to hire her services. He then dragged the unsuspecting victim to the railway line, robbed her of her Infinix cellphone worth US$160, and molested her multiple times.

Hefty Sentence for the Convicted Robber

Obey Ncube appeared before the Gweru Magistrate’s Courts, facing three counts of robbery and two counts of rape. “The accused person was sentenced to a total of 31 years imprisonment,” read the NPAZ press statement.

Gweru Man Sentenced for Horrific Assault of Young Girl

A 21-year-old man from Gweru has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for the heinous crimes of molestation and sodomy against a 12-year-old girl in her own home.

The incident occurred between May 1st and 24th, according to court records. The young man, aware that the girl was home alone, broke into the house and sneaked into her bedroom. He then undressed the child and lay beside her, covering her mouth with a cloth before molesting her. The man is also alleged to have had anal intercourse with the vulnerable victim.
