Amazon Christian College Headmaster Fights for Life in ICU as Deputy Head Assaults Him Over Warning
The headmaster of Amazon Christian College is currently battling for his life in ICU after being brutally assaulted by his deputy head for issuing him a warning for threatening staff members.
The Head Issuing a Warning to the Deputy
Around 9 am, Deputy Head Vusa Ncube allegedly assaulted Principal Progress Ncube and other teachers with a bat. An anonymous source revealed that Vusa had previously threatened colleagues, prompting them to report him to the principal. The principal intended to issue a written warning after counseling him and invited other teachers, including Martha Ncube, Simangaliso Jamela, and Simbarashe Maseko, to witness the process.

Violent Assault Unleashed by Deputy Head
Upon being instructed to sign the warning, the deputy abruptly left for his office and returned brandishing a baseball bat, threatening the headmaster. Jamela intervened, restraining and escorting him outside, but the argument continued, resulting in Vusa assaulting Jamela with the bat. Upon hearing Jamela’s cries, the principal swiftly rushed outside and discovered him under attack. The principal attempted to restrain Vusa, but he managed to break free and targeted the principal, repeatedly striking him with the bat. Witnessing the severity of the injuries, Maseko hurried to retrieve a car from the cottages to transport the principal to the hospital. While the head was being transported, Vusa seized the opportunity and attacked Martha Ncube, the principal’s wife.

Head Hospitalized in ICU, Teachers Sustain Severe Injuries
The principal is currently in the intensive care unit at a local private hospital. The principal’s wife and another teacher suffered injuries, including a broken arm, head wound, and bleeding. Simangaliso Jamela also has a swollen arm, head injury, and bleeding from the ear. Inspector Loveness Mangena, the Matabeleland South police spokesperson, confirmed the incident. She mentioned that investigations are ongoing, and Vusa, the alleged perpetrator, has not been arrested yet.
