Panic and Fear in Kuwadzana: 5-Year-Old Girl Snatched and Kidnapped in Broad Daylight

Kuwadzana 3 was rocked by a distressing incident when a 23-year-old man snatched and kidnapped a 5-year-old girl while she was playing with her friends on the street.

Tendai Nhambasora has since been arrested and appeared before Harare magistrate Ethel Rutendo Chichera, facing charges of kidnapping.

Swift Intervention by Public

The young girl, in a fortunate turn of events, managed to seek help from members of the public after conveying that she had no prior acquaintance with the man who had snatched her. Concerned citizens promptly reported the incident to the police, leading to the arrest of Kuwadzana man.

Playtime Turns Into Nightmare

According to witnesses, Nhambasora approached the girls while they were engrossed in playful activities, gradually gaining their trust by joining in their games. However, during the course of their innocent play, he suddenly seized the girl, lifting her up, and hastily fleeing with her.

Distressed Mother’s Search

The child’s absence was swiftly noticed by her mother, who diligently inquired about her whereabouts from the other children. Shockingly, they revealed that Nhambasora had taken her away. Filled with panic, the mother immediately initiated a search for her missing daughter.

Public Intervention and Reunion

Fortuitously, two members of the public spotted Nhambasora with the distraught child, who was visibly in distress. Sensing the urgency of the situation, the child implored the strangers for assistance. She affirmed that she did not know Nhambasora and that he had harmed her.

Reacting swiftly, the concerned men apprehended Nhambasora and promptly handed him over to the police. The child was joyously reunited with her family, escaping further harm.
