2004 Soccer Star Of The Year Cephas Chimedza Announces Wife’s Death
Former Zimbabwean football star Cephas Chimedza has announced the passing of his wife, Sharon, on Wednesday.
The tragic news was revealed via Twitter, with Chimedza stating that he received a police visit informing him of her death shortly after receiving a message from her. The couple had three children together.

Chimedza, who played as a left-back for top Zimbabwean clubs Dynamos, Warriors, and CAPS United, as well as several Belgian teams, including Germinal Beerschot, Sint Truidense, Westerlo, and Cappellen, was voted Soccer Star of the Year in Zimbabwe in 2004. He also represented the Warriors at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in 2006, scoring one goal against Ghana in a 2-1 win.
