Tragedy Strikes in Family Dispute
A Chitungwiza man is facing murder charges after a tragic incident in which he pushed his own brother to the ground, resulting in his death. Shepherd Zvada, 45, appeared in court accused of causing the death of his brother, Alois Zvada, while trying to discipline his misbehaving daughter.
State’s Allegations
The ZimNow publication reports that according to the State’s allegations presented by Zebediah Bofu, the incident occurred on December 29, 2022, around 10 pm. Shepherd had just returned from a bar with Alois when he attempted to discipline his daughter. Alois intervened, trying to prevent his brother from harming the young girl.
Tragic Turn of Events
However, the situation quickly turned deadly when Shepherd pushed Alois, causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head, leading to profuse bleeding. Shepherd then hired a car to transport Alois to Chitungwiza Central Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, Alois eventually succumbed to his injuries on January 31, 2023.

Legal Experts Comment on Case
In response to the case, a legal expert commented, “This is a sad situation where family members should have been united. The case calls for the court to determine the facts and apply the law appropriately.”
