84-Year-Old Predator Convicted for Molesting 13-Year-Old Grade 6 Girl for A Packet of Jiggies
An 84-year-old predator has been arrested and convicted for repeatedly molesting a 13-year-old grade 6 girl for a packet of jiggies.
First Incident Unfolds
According to reports, the first incident took place in early March 2024. On an unknown date, the girl’s mother left her alone with her younger siblings. While the mother attended a memorial service, the girl decided to fetch water from the river.

Girl Lured With a Packet of Jiggies
On her way, the man noticed her and followed closely behind. Near a bush, he stopped the girl and lured her with a packet of jiggies. He coaxed her into the bushes, where he removed both their clothes and molested her. After the assault, he got dressed and threatened her, warning her not to tell anyone about the incident before walking away.

Predator Uses The Same Trick
Two weeks later, the predator used the same method to lure the girl again. This time, he invited her to his house with the promise of more jiggies.

Molestations Revealed
The situation came to light three months later when a villager spotted the girl entering the man’s compound. Alarmed, the villager alerted others, and they confronted the man about the girl’s whereabouts. The predator denied having seen her.

A search ensued, and the girl was discovered hidden behind the kitchen door. Upon questioning, she revealed the previous molestations, leading to the man’s arrest.
Court Proceedings
The man was found guilty and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment, of which 5 years were suspended. He will serve an effective 10 years.
