20-Year-Old Man Arrested for Sodomizing 4-Year-Old Boy in the Bush

A 20-year-old man from KwaSadza has been arrested for the harrowing kidnapping and sexual abuse of a 4-year-old boy.

Nightmare in the Bush & Community Setting Up a Search Party

According to reports, the accused lured the young victim on his way home from school on May 16th, telling him that his mother had sent him to pick the boy up.

The man then kept the 4-year-old boy captive in a nearby bush for several days, repeatedly sodomizing him during this time. It was only after the boy’s grandmother reported him missing and a search party was organized that the horrifying truth came to light.

The Boy Recounting Abuse

The search party eventually located the man living in the bush and apprehended him after a confrontation on May 20th. Upon being reunited with his grandmother, the boy recounted the sexual abuse he had suffered at the hands of the accused.

Harsh Sentence for Unspeakable Crimes

The perpetrator was brought before the Chivhu Magistrate’s Court, facing charges of kidnapping and indecent assault. He was swiftly sentenced to a total of 24 years in prison – 4 years for the kidnapping charge and 20 years for the indecent assault.

“The accused person was sentenced to 4 years imprisonment for the first count of kidnapping,” read the NPAZ press statement. “On the second count, he was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment. He will serve 24 years effective.”
