Catholic Priest Blackmailed by Nephew with Fake Homosexual Pictures
Emmanuel Gurumombe, a Catholic priest from St Peter’s Church Mbare, reported his nephew, Stephen Kimbini, to the police for extortion after he threatened to release fake homosexual pictures of him on social media.
Fake Threats and Extortion
Kimbini allegedly told Gurumombe that police in Nyabira had taken pictures of them in homosexual positions and demanded money to prevent their release on social media. According to H-Metro, Gurumombe paid Kimbini $40,000 on various occasions between June last year and this month.
A Trap Set
When Kimbini demanded an additional $1,500 from Gurumombe, threatening to sell the pictures to social media bloggers, Gurumombe reported him to the police. A trap was set, and Kimbini was arrested when he came with David Maloya to collect the money.
